I just love saying the word …” magic, maaagic!” (#magic) The Magic of Believing is an old book, originally published in 1948. The author Claude M. Bristol, a young man at the time, documented the happenings that he experienced once he paid attention to his mindset.

It is not surprising to me that the answers that we seek today have all been addressed in our past. I first heard of the book while surfing the internet. And as an old soul myself, I was interested in a tv interview of an old comedic celebrity talking about the book and how it saved her, her name? Phyllis Diller. She started her career in Hollywood in her late 30’s, after being a wife and a mother. Not very attractive by Hollywood standard, she stated that with all the naysayers and doubters (her husband especially), she found her light and her will after reading this very book. I had already fell in love with the title, why not see what Phyllis was talking about.

I bought the audio book as well as the hard copy. I needed help to get through this book because it was reading outside of my comfort zone. Give me a romance novel and I’ll kill it in one night! But, by gosh. I must say, the little nuggets that I found in this book, made me conscious to the miraculous power of our mind. Our hard drive, our main computing system. We all have the power that we need and it lays latent in all of us. Most never gain the consciousness of it at all.

It reminds me of one of my favorite movie of all time – yesss, and I mean of all time! The Matrix (1999). #thematrix One of the most significant scene in the movie for me was, when our hero (Neo) has his big fight scene with his antagonist (the agent) in the subway. He is blindsided by ‘the agent’ when his escape channel is destroyed before he could get out (of the matrix). As his friends watches (from the ‘real world’) as the situation unfolds, willing Neo to run – run away and find safety, Neo pauses, looks around, look at the three ‘agents’ watching him to advance. He breathes, faces his nemesis, plants his feet and rises his arms and motion towards the ‘agents’ to come and have a go at him. Neo’s friends are frantic as they asked, “What is he doing, why is he not running?”, His mentor respond, “He is starting to BELIEVE!” #believe Believe in his power, believe in his will, believing in his purpose!

We must believe that we are powerful, we must believe that we are enough to stand our ground and say “come at me bro!” to whatever life brings. We must believe that there is always another day to fight if today did not provide the outcome we wanted. We must believe that we are enough to get the job done and we must believe that we are all deserving of the rewards that will come!

Tell me, what is the magic in You believing in You? Here is what I believe … Just like Morphos – Neo’s mentor - I believe in You! I believe that we all greatness waiting to happen, if we just believe. I believe that I am here for you!!
